Agreed! I found it easier to pick later than the year we had 1.1 (Morla).

And that was a year that I felt was a slam dunk. Morla was one of the better draft prospects the BLB has seen. A 200+ OPS+ and a 8 potential contact from OSA? That's pretty rare. Like, Ulloa-rare.

I think there might come a time when the 1st rd pick becomes highly devalued. Maybe even to the point where a 2nd and a 3rd is more valuable than the 1st.

That's the way it should be. I hate missing on first rounders, but it makes the game way more realistic. It'd be boring if it was plug n play all stars and hall of famers in the first round. There should be hits and misses.

Here we go. At 1.3 we select 16 year old HS SP Pat Arballo. He's a high K:BB groundballer, he's gotten better each season, his OSA ratings matchup well with my scout, his intangibles are top notch and he will be ready in 8 years when I'm rebuilding again.

Only issue is his "Domino" nickname. We have a top ranked Domino in SEA. I'd like to petition the league to use my nickname change to give this young future Mexican HOFer a real nickname:

My scout was literally banging his dick on the table about this kid. 8-7-7 POT. Its always a bit of an adventure drafting kids so young so high, but you had to like his potential.

Pitchers are a bit more stable in this version in the top 100, but they also seem to have to earn it before they move up fast. Old versions he's be a top 10. I'm gonna say in this version #32

Wow Ted Witte went wayyyy higher than I thought he'd go. I think he's gonna be a stud
