I feel pressure for all 1st round picks...it's much more difficult to have a good return if you fuck up your first rounder. Especially when you fuck up two like I did with Corr and Hoffman.

Brookshere will be the top prospect without a doubt. This game drools over CF's. My autopicked 10th round CF from last years draft is my teams #1 hitting prospect.

Here we go. At 1.3 we select 16 year old HS SP Pat Arballo. He's a high K:BB groundballer, he's gotten better each season, his OSA ratings matchup well with my scout, his intangibles are top notch and he will be ready in 8 years when I'm rebuilding again.

Only issue is his "Domino" nickname. We have a top ranked Domino in SEA. I'd like to petition the league to use my nickname change to give this young future Mexican HOFer a real nickname:

Pat "Baja" Arballo. Done and done. DAV is up. Please don't bust kid.

Yeah. No doubt in my mind he debuts as the drafts top prospect.

Nice pick UMD. He will be really good. He's a better prospect than Seymour.

8 years is a long time. I'll be terrified if he misses the Top Prospect list initially.

Sure, you have a higher chance to land a great prospect the higher you are in the round of course, but I prefer to have the prospects I didn't think would be there fall to my selection. For instance, last year, I went with Seymour. He was #1 on the draft list. I got multiple PMs from teams saying they would have gone the same way but I'm not sure it was the best pick. If I could do it again, I might even take Tom Clark.

I'd rather be picking 15+ and just wait to see who is there. Having to decide from such a large group of great prospects, especially in the new version, is difficult.
Agreed! I found it easier to pick later than the year we had 1.1 (Morla).

I hope tanking for a title works for me. It's my last "try" at winning a title because my other ways don't work.
Perhaps a little positive thinking would help.

This game beats you down unless you're another one of our new "instant winners"...

OOTP has been an exercise in frustration. Probably should've quit already but I'm stubborn.

It's more fun picking hitters, but that kid looks like a stud!

                        I've noticed this too.
A CFer's batting potential can be average and yet if they can play CF well, they're considered blue-chip prospects.

Jimmy Burkhead can take a nose dive into a shallow pool of syphilis as far as I'm concerned.
I had the #2 pick overall in 2012 and the draft depth that year was pathetic.
He's turned into a serviceable starter, but not exactly what you want from a #2 OV pick.

The only thing I can assume with high rated defensive centerfielders is OOTP algorithms really favor great centerfield defense.

Because nothing else makes sense. I'm staring at a centerfield prospect in another league that would be a 44444 guy here. But because of his defense, he's considered one of the best prospects in the league.

Carlos, I think we've discussed you bringing-up the 'other woman' in here before.
We know you run around at night, but don't bring that stuff home.
