He should be ranked higher....he's two years older...

Wanted to add this little nugget about one of my favorite all time players, Pat Vickers. His first four years as a regular, he combined to be a -15.5 ZR, and by all accounts was a poor defender...however, the last seasons at 2B he's been good for +8.4 ZR combined. Since improving his defense, his consistent bat has really allowed him to grow into an all time player for us.

My team could actually be decently good if my young guys would fulfill their potential and start to hit.

Also Bill Roman is v good. Glad I tanked to get him.

A 4-2 week to follow up last week. Injuries keep mounting throughout our organization though. Now we lose CF Erik Hudson for a month. This ended up being the downfall for our team in the playoffs last year. Hopefully one of the young guys (Daniels or Place) finally start to add some consistency to their play. I'd take 0.250 with good fielding and be quite content from either one of them.

Still not sure how, but C.J. Wilkinson is batting 0.463... which is utterly ridiculous for a 36 year old starting shortstop. Hopefully my aging offence can continue to stay healthy and score enough runs for my young starting pitchers to work out their growing pains.

Our SP is atrocious. We seem to have good pitchers and good fielders. Last year was the same. I have no clue what's wrong.

And newly acquired Maggio is 1-3 with a 7+ ERA.

You're playing defenders with below-average range and gloves at first base, third base, shortstop, and right field. Stark plays a competent left field. Marlow and Heard are the only genuine above-average defenders. Your team defence accordingly ranks 12 in the IL in defensive efficiency. Not good for your pitchers, hence the .307 team BABIP that also places 12th in the league.

Your starting pitchers (except for Clark) put a lot of balls in play, which explains why they fare so much worse than your second-ranked bullpen, in which most of the pitchers generate a lot of strikeouts

The Sim: 1-5 week. 1-2 vs. Batavia, 0-3 @ Philadelphia. Nothing like following up your best week of the season with your worst.

The Good: Enough about Andy Ulloa am I right? SP Tom "Domino" King just had two great performances: 13 IP, 9 H, 0 ER, 6 BB and 8 K. Still needs to work on his control and my scout (as well as OSA) doesn't praise his potential like it once did but those two starts are very encouraging for the former 2nd overall pick of 2017.

The Bad: I lost SP Ron "Mailman" Lensini to a bicep strain and he will miss two weeks. For a guy who is "durable" man, he sure gets hurt A LOT. I've seen fragile and even wrecked players with better injury histories. The injury bug hit the minors as well where I lost three other players in AAA and A.

The Ugly: Infielder C.J. McNichol, extended his hitless streak to nine games: 0/26.

Next Week: 3 vs. NY and 3 vs. DC. A tough set of Stout opponents but we have been a .500 ball club at home some I'm hopeful that streak continues.

                        You're 13th in SP ERA.

                        9th in bullpen ERA.

He's also older than Morla and Yonke?! I'm not sure age is the only reason.

It's not easy to rebuild. It could be worse, you could still have bloated contracts, and no picks, and really be screwed.
