    He's old but he's hitting over .360 so far.
    Can he retire even though he just signed an extension? If so then you're not out the money for any seasons he didn't play, right? I've wondered about this for contract extensions for older players.

      Yes, he can retire and no, you're not responsible for anything he is still owed when he retires.
