    14. CONTRACTS
    • If Team Option is used the Buyout must be the difference between Option year and highest Guaranteed year.
    • Only one Team Option may be used per contract, and it must be in the last year of the contract. This prevents people from stacking Player Options after the Team Option.
    • Players cannot be signed to contract extensions until after they have received their second arbitration contract. Players become eligible for contract extensions once they have two "Received a 1-year contract worth a total of $xx through arbitration." in their player history.

    Happy to get Baldwin back after fighting with him all season about the length of the contract.

      Pawtucket signs RF Dave Perkins to a team friendly contract (Year 2 has a vesting option)

      He brings a solid lefty bat to our lineup even at age 36. His defense in RF is of course slipping, but we also have Bryant who can spell him defensively in the late innings.

      Really happy with our offseason so far. Were probably done for the moment as we still are paying down debt in addition to bring in 2-3 young starting pitchers who will not doubt be going thru growing pains this season. Feeling really good about a somewhat rebuilt bullpen as well.

      Little bold statement here, gonna say 74-88. Yeah not that thrilling, but think the needle is going in the right direction.

        Interesting observation about the Top Prospects list. While the top pitchers seems to be fairly stable with only minor movement the hitters are ALL OVER THE MAP.

        Pawtucket kids who have been in the top 100 the past 4 sims

        * SS Dusty Adams
        * CF Ed Blue
        1B Craig 'Boomerang' Wanzer
        3B Johnny Schara
        C Zack Bohn
        2B R.J. McGlashing

        * Still on the list or just debuted. Whats really odd is this isnt just ranked late 90 something guys one sim Schara was up to 83 and next sim he was off. Maybe the top 50 is more stable for hitters but wow such wild swings. I guess its good to know the guys who I thought are gonna be a player are actually least sniffing the top 100??

        Cup half full.

          More money than I thought he would end up with but he's a nice piece.

            He wanted 7-8 years for somewhere in the neighborhood of $18 million a year, so I figured I'd bump the AAV up a bit to entice him. 3 years with an option was as far as I was comfortable going.
