2021 Offseason SIM 3 Complete - Next SIM Wednesday 6/21
We could have both as that is how it is coded by the game.

I understand. I'm just suggesting that if people feel unhappy about the ready-to-go international stars, then replacing them with younger, need-to-develop guys could be a workable alternative.
I think it's realistic. I love it. Is it different from the past? Sure. But it's not that far from reality. I know we don't try to compare to MLB, but at the very least, we aren't having astronomical numbers or differences that make us seem like a complete fantasy.
There is still little history of what these guys will end up being. One or two seasons isn't enough. Some of these guys could flame out in a couple seasons and no one will care anymore.

Except for the GM who gave the player $200M.

How great would it be if we had a Japan or other International leagues running parallel?
Toronto Canadians - 2004- Brewmaster's Cup Champions: 2022 Domestic League Champions: 2021, 2022 Ale Division Champions: 2021, 2022 DL Wildcard: 2019, 2020 Davenport Brawlers - 1988 to 1998 Bock Division Champions: 1988, 1989, 1991, 1992, 1995

I agree and I'll add as a comparison to MLB that there have been a significant number of international free agents entering MLB at high price tags and being good players. Perhaps a similar number to what we're experiencing. And that's without us using international complexes and international amateur free agents, which are key components of the MLB universe.
Nieto may be unique but we're seeing 2-3 stars in IFA every year now which is too many in my opinion. They should be few and far between.
EDIT - Also, Garcia??? May not have made the all-star team but he hit 38 HR's this year and is only 27.
But are all stars??? Seems yeah the % is somewhat high, but considering the salaries people are shelling out its not fully clear if they are worth the money IMO.
PAWTUCKET PATRIOTS Brewmaster's Cup Champions 2010, 2013, 2014, 2016 DL Champions 91, 03, 04, 10, 13, 14**,16,17 Ale Champions 92, 93, 94, 02, 03, 04, 10, 11, 13, 14**, 16, 17, 18 Wildcard 91, 95, 12
I say we just let i play out. Its a risk either way. People are shelling out $25 million contracts for a kid who hasn't even had a BLB at bat yet. This will eventually get you in trouble. If he wins you a cup...makes it all worth it.

I like it because most years, even the top free agents are geriatric, so it gives me a chance to get guys who are near or in the middle of their prime years.
I'd definitely like to see a parallel league though, just to have some stats to go off of when making these decisions. But it's fine now.
The last thing we should be thinking about is reducing the ways in which teams can obtain talent. Also, I'm all for the slower pace now. I didn't care for the proposal before but I like the way things are playing out this way. As mentioned earlier, Dominguez probably doesn't get his contract at the amount we paid had we simmed at this pace.
