    14. CONTRACTS
    • If Team Option is used the Buyout must be the difference between Option year and highest Guaranteed year.
    • Only one Team Option may be used per contract, and it must be in the last year of the contract. This prevents people from stacking Player Options after the Team Option.
    • Players cannot be signed to contract extensions until after they have received their third arbitration contract. Players become eligible for contract extensions once they have three "Received a 1-year contract worth a total of $xx through arbitration." in their player history.

Dumb question here... I have to wait until Morla is awarded this arbitration number before I can offer him a long term deal correct?

      Congrats Sully!

The title is back in the IL.

In Washington news, Jaylen Mitchell has opted out of his contract, immediately making me reconsider some offseason plans. Lots of money freed up in Washington, but lots of holes to fill.

Wooooo! I've been excited about the potential of this team, just a little surprised to see them reach this point so soon. We've got money to spend, we're young, so I'm hoping we've got something special for the next 3-5 years.

Cash adjustments to represent true ending balances (reversing influx of owner cash) will be represented in the next league file.

He has to have the 2nd Arb stamp in his player history.

Hell of a signing though. Mitchell pitched 440+ innings in two seasons despite being wrecked. He's on my radar for Free-Agency, I just fear he is way overdue for a big injury.

In Seattle, no big news. Seven players up for arbitration, none with an estimate over $1M. Late season signing SP Adrian Pulido now wants more than he was initially asking for to re-sign + incentives. Looks like he is headed back to FA after getting a couple $100,000 from me and likely will hurt my fan interest when he inevitably signs with someone in June.

The Pilots are currently projected for only $17M in player payroll. A lot of the budget room will go to player development and scouting but I do anticipate being very active in Free-Agency. The past two seasons we have failed to land the big international fish despite almost identical offers to other teams. Third times a charm?

                      Congrats Sully!

Question for fellow BLB vets, where can I see how much cash I have for this offseason for stadium upgrades? Just guide me to the screen to go to and I'll be OK :)

Pawtucket waves goodbye to C Dave Piekarski this week. Great career and a major reason we ran off 4 cups, but its time to turn the page.

For the first time in I don't know 4 seasons we now have a floor for our budget. Even after the owner reversal we ACTUALLY have a few bucks to spend in free agency. Granted we would have to tank PD and scouting for a few weeks, but overall from here on out the arrow will be pointing up on our finances. Time to see what we can do. Its been like playing with both hands tied behind your back.

Overall we have a decent stocked farm system with good pitcher, couple of power hitters (mostly thru trades and second round picks) and several draft picks coming up. Heck in the BLB my scout thinks we actually have an 'Ace' in our team.

Not saying we return to glory next season, but expecting I little better showing coming up. Summary, glad jail is finally over.

He was everything I could have asked for when I signed him. Two pretty dominant years, and he was very good in 3 postseason starts for us as well, so he's not to blame for the playoff shortcomings. I certainly didn't want him to opt out.

I'd love to bring him back, but I'm afraid his demands put him out of reach.

You can find your cash on your main Front Office page (Financials). It's on there under Budget Information.

Can also be found on the league financial report:
