9-3 in the last 2 weeks of the regular season, including 3-0 to California, 2-1 to Toronto and 2-1 to New Orleans...

Is it the time of the year to play baseball in Dallas finally? We shall see...

I have never had a team fade this bad and it wasn't even (solely) because of injuries as Surmeier barely played at all, before being out for the season. We ended the season with a losing record and missed the playoffs. I need to get a firmer grip on our starting rotation earlier in the season as the AI and our managers think our best pitchers should start 40 games a year, which is beyond nuts.

Salary is prorated based on games remaining. I think I paid about $250,000 for him to sign. Like UMD said, it's just for the chance to re-sign.

Once the trade deadline had passed, I started to offer Pulido. For about 4-5 sims he declined them all as they had a team option for 2022.

I'm not in game yet but I'm sure he won't be cheap to bring back.

                  --

Congrats to the playoff teams* and good luck!

I remember when the Holly Cows in this league thought that after Wilmington's Ring, that team was going to be a dinasty with a stocked minor system...

A 4-2 week is good enough for the Bats to take the Stout, so I'm thrilled with that results. It also gets us to 100 wins, which I was hoping we'd find a way to get to. It's our first 100 win season since 2014.

We finished the season giving up only 399 runs, easily breaking the previous record for runs allowed in a season (it was 459). Just a great, great season for my pitching staff.

In what turned out to be a meaningless game for us, Ed Carroll was hit as hard as he's been all season, giving up 3 runs in 6 innings. It didn't do too much damage to his season, and he claims the 2nd best ERA in BLB history behind only Pancho Herrera's tainted season. Dave Honea got win #24, making him one of 5 pitchers in league history to have that many in a season.

At the plate, more mixed results. Geoff Yonke was terrible, hopefully getting that out of his system. CJ Turnbow was hot for the first time all season.

No we'll sit back and see who we'll play in the postseason. We're healthy and hopefully ready to go.

I'm not sure many of us expected them to let so many players leave via free agency. Unfortunately I think they were hurt by some inactivity by previous ownership.

We've finally won a division crown after fulfilling my 5-1 prediction in the last sim. I don't know how smart it was to make a run for it this year with Washington playing the way they are, but I like my team and hopefully we'll get to play them in the IL championships.

Congrats and good luck to all the playoff teams.

Well, disappointed not to claim a WC spot outright, but if I understand the tie breaker rules(not a given) I believe we potentially get two shots at it now based on the way things look? We go to CAR for our first shot (which I believe is a win-and-in situation for either team?) and then if that doesn't work out we play BAT. At least that's how I think it works? Not sure; asking for a friend.

As soon as we have an export from CAR and PHI (I'll get one in this evening) we can settle one of the IL WCs.
