Spoiler
We managed to hold strong and make the playoffs. 14 years in the BLB and we've made the playoffs now 12 times. Not terrible for someone who inherited an already good team. Of course, it will more than likely be another quick exit because that's our MO but it's still good to be in the dance. We are a very dangerous team because we've underachieved most of the year, and now it's a fresh start.
The big one this sim was game 162. One game separating Hartford and Pittsburgh in Kennywood Park, Jarrod Syvertsen pitched an 8 shutout innings to lead the team to victory.
This season's offense was led by our leadoff hitter, 3 and 4 hitters, The Villain, Jamie O'Hearn and Danny Garcia.
Vickers produced a strong offensive season, where he hit .281/.335/.430/.765, with 35 2B, 7 3B, 17 HR, 87 RBI, 107 R, 40 SB and 5.1 WAR
O'Hearn slashed an awesome .305/.373/.606/.978 with 46 HR, 125 RBI, 28 2B, 8 3B, 21 SB good for 7.6 WAR.
Garcia proved to be great protection for Jamie O, and he produced a line of .277/.355/.541/.895 with 38 HR, 97 RBI, 33 2B and a 4.8 WAR
Others like Milt Stoll produced strong campaigns, and SS Johnny Skolfield proved that he's a full time starter in the BLB, hitting .305/.342/.408/.750, with 171 H, 20 2B, 10 HR, 80 RBI, 12 SB, and playing solid D at SS with a +6.8 ZR.
What seemed like a frustrating year where we ended up semi-selling lead to a playoff berth.
On to Maine.
