Willie had possibly the greatest first week in the history of the BLB. His uni is still in the mail though.

We are just terrible in one run games. I don't know what it is, but if the game is close late, we are going to lose. Two more late collapses this week, and it was a 3-4 week that puts us in a tie in the division lead.

My bullpen now has a record of 7-22 in games they've gotten a decision in (pretty sure that's easily worst in the league). My starters have a combined record of 80-34. The stats don't show my bullpen being that bad, but the late innings are just not our friends this season. We don't score in them either, so the offense isn't helping.

With only 3 sims to go, I'm just going to have to hope that the offense gets hot or lucky. It's time to give up hope for Dave Schneider, who's apparently taking hitting lessons from CJ Turnbow. Hopefully he'll bounce back next year, but it's about time to bench him for the rest of this one. Tristan Moody was great this week, Yonke was solid, everyone else was awful.

I'll also have to figure out why Jaylen Mitchell made a start at 3B this sim. I'm 100% sure he's not on the depth chart at that position, but maybe my manager was playing a hunch.

Your uniforms keep breaking because of that stupid bug.

Two weeks to determine if this team can sneak into the playoffs. -5 PYT. Shitty year overall I'm not optimistic.

                Just one of those years.

I guess if there's anyone in particular to lay most of the blame on, it would be the Domestic League's ninth-ranked bullpen.

Especially Kleinman and his seven blown saves, the second-highest total in the BLB. He has a negative-0.4 WPA, which is really disappointing for a closer.

I can't say it with certainty but it looks like your bullpen has more blown saves than any other.

Sure there are plenty of contributing factors other than the bullpen, luck included, but personnel-wise the pen seems like the main culprit.

1-5 week with every loss being blown by the bullpen in the 8th or later inning. I've never seen anything like that. No playoffs for the Tobs unless I sweep NY.

4-2 week which gets us to .500 and within striking distance of the wildcard. Not sure our rotation can continue to hold up without Paliotta and Calvert but it's been a good run.

Seattle is eliminated from post-season contention but we had a good sim and are on pace for our first .500 month of the season!

Playing spoiler down the stretch... with six remaining against both Phoenix and Windy City, the fate of the Bock lies in our hands.

I want to backdoor this IL WC so hard, but there's just so many teams bunched up right now it's difficult to leap frog that many with so little time left. We're going to give it our best though.

4-3 and we are back atop the Stout, tied with Washington for the best record in the BLB. The highlight of the week has to be the ass-whoopin' that SP Alex Dominguez put on Batavia's J.R. Johnson when he was bold enough to approach the mound. Alex's punishment was upped to six games after Johnson and Frayo (Batavia's manager) went crying to the media about fair punishment.

-CL Edwin Carrasco blew his first save of the entire season last week, dropping his save percentage to 0.977. Yea, I'm not to pissed about that.

-C Willie Lara put together another good week going 10 of 24 with 1 home run and 6 RBI. On the year, Lara is hitting .330/.364/.866 with 14 doubles, 16 home runs and 48 RBI vs. RHP. We have a good number of solid performances on the year but Lara's contribution to this team cannot be understated.

Since the All-Star break, we've gone 35-21, second only to Maine's 38-18 in the BLB over that span. We've worked very hard to get to this point and with just three weeks left in the regular season, I'd be ecstatic if we won the Stout but definitely satisfied if we could just go into the playoffs at 100%.
