2-1 @ Windy City, 1-2 vs. Death Valley. Our first .500 non-All Star sim since late April! Read that again. Wow.

At 38-74, we are still the BLB's worst team by record...but I feel we are playing a lot better baseball. Since the All-Star break, the Pilots are 9-13 with series wins over Washington, Windy City, Death Vally and a tie against Baltimore. With twelve more series against IL contenders, it will be fun to play the role of spoiler. Hopefully get some momentum going as we head down the stretch.

          Few bright spots this week...

          1. Waiver claim SP Joey Long pitched his second gem since arriving from Maine. Both games were against the post-fire sale Death Valley so I'm not buying into it too much but the former 1st round pick has now thrown 15 innings and given up just 2 ER.

          2. Rookie SP Enrique "The Artist" Bernardi threw a gem against DVS, putting his stats through three starts at 2.61 ERA and 1.06 WHIP. The 4th overall pick in the 2020 draft is the first pitcher of his class to make the pros.

          3. #1 BLB prospect SP Tom "Domino" King will return from his 10 week DL stint. He will likely get two starts in Vancouver (AAA) and hopefully a post-season appearance. The minor league system report says he is ready for the BLB but he will likely have to wait until 2022.
          Wilmington Wildcats- 2057-
          Seattle Pilots- 2017-2041

This team needs to make a move sooner rather than later. Too many big injuries this season alas- losing Daley really messed up my rotation. We will see, the Wild Card is still reachable.

5-2 for the sim as we move into a tie for first place in the Stout and atop the power rankings. It feels good to be in this position, especially since the best team in the league apparently has "no par" and was supposed to "walk away" with the division from Opening Day.

-Rookie OF Eli Fernandez shows no signs of slowing down. After his strong July, he follows it up with a good start to August going 9 for 18 with 1 home run and 3 RBI for the week.

Next week is a HUGE week as we go head to head with Washington in the nation's capital before heading to Carolina.

Z said I should stop by, so here I am.

A bit salty about California now being a DL team... would have extended Ed Betts career by a few years if it was implemented back in the day.

Also good seeing Pat stole my A-Ball team and made them into a BLB franchise.

You've been using that excuse for years.

Can't you buy a five year old laptop on eBay for like $10 these days?

The computer I use to run it doesn't even have a working "z" key.

No z key, huh? That explains the lack of private messages i suppose.
