At the risk of sounding like DVS when he's leading the division...It feels like we have no chance. This offence which statistically is very good, cannot hit in the clutch apparently, and is easily shut down by even mediocre pitching. That coupled with the uncanny ability to hit into double plays, and Mike Morla's Dusty Filar like streakiness is making this a very hard team to like.

Having said all that, we are still 17 games over 0.500 and lead the division by 3 1/2 games. Our pitching continues to lead the way.

Dave Koehler becomes the 2nd player in BLB history to throw 2 no-hitters, joining Erik Keifer. Koehler's only 23 years old and 48 starts into his career, so maybe he'll be our first pitcher to throw more than that.

Beyond that game, we just aren't that good right now. Treading water.

He has a .360 batting average with a 1.009 OPS in the seventh through ninth innings.
He's hitting .625 with a 1.750 OPS in extra innings.
His .310 batting average with the bases empty jumps to .384 with runners in scoring position.
He's batting .455 with the bases loaded.
He's hitting .400 with a 1.167 OPS in high leverage situations.

Not sure your criticism of him is well-founded.

I'm sure you're right, but since I've become addicted to watching the game replays it seems like it seems like he hits a lot of bases empty singles, and not the other way around. Perhaps I should type replies more analytically instead of angrily after a crappy sim. A little too steinberenneresque!

In other news, I don't want to fire my scout, but he clearly sucks.
He was basically begging me to draft Ze-Min Huang in 2019, projecting him to have 8 power along with 6/6 for contact and eye.
Well, I just got a development report that his power has dropped from 5 to 4, and his potential from 8 to 6.

This man is clearly a cat molesting, a'hole who was probably born in Indy and raised in Carolina.
Has anything ever good come from those two locations? And no, VD doesn't count!
