4-3 for the week which isn't too bad, but it came at a price of losing All-Star infielder, SS Geoff Perritt. We were able to get some semblance of revenge on Windy City winning two of three in Chicago, while splitting the series in Las Vegas. Although we stay within a shout of Washington, losing Stripling and now Perritt will make it very tough to keep up with them now.
Rookie outfielder, Eli Fernandez continues his impressive performance in July hitting .371/.405/1.063 with 2 home runs and 9 RBI. He's pretty much solidified his spot as the starting left fielder vs. LHP and if he keeps this up, he'll be starting full time opposite of Stripling come 2022.
SP/RP Dusty "Storm" Threatt does it again. He makes me wonder why in the world, I didn't start him at the beginning of the season. In his 3 starts, he's 1-0 with a 2.00 ERA, 0.94 WHIP, with 23K to just 7 BB in 18 innings of work.
OF Antonio Ontiveros didn't have the best first week as a Bulldog, but he has come on the team and is already happy with the team chemistry, so I expect him to pick it up as the season goes on and he gets used to how things are done in Baltimore.
As always, we are going to just have to hold our collective breath and just pray about facing Fred Fredrick in Phillips Field. Then we head back on the road to finish the week in City of Brotherly Love.
