    Another 5-2 week and again a winning series 2-1 against California to reduce the distance to just 4 games.

    Out hitting looks like started to come around and our bullpen didn't blow a game which is always good.

    Specially happy with Deshon who is leading the team with 11 Wins from the Mound. With Gardner coming soon to Dallas, both former Millers Pitchers are a great addition for our rotation / bullpen.

    * OSFL Bowl CHAMPION > 2036, 2047.

        I can absolutely guarantee I didn't claim Zhao on purpose. We have no money to burn and we suck. I have had some issues this week and might have scrolled through the waiver wire and clicked something on accident, but this is something that I hope can be fixed.

            4-3 keeps us in first place thanks to a tough week for our division rivals.

            For the second time this season, Windy City came into our stadium and swept us. We're now 1-7 against them and that's a matchup I want no part of in the postseason.

            In better news, 8 Bats got selected to the All-Star game. Dave Koehler and Tom Roseboom are first time selections. Dave Honea won 2 more games this week, bringing him to 14-2 at the Break. The franchise record for wins in a season is 21, which looks like it might be in play for Honea this season.

            Our minor league teams are doing well right now. Up to #2 on the System ratings (thanks to KC trading away their guys). Most of our top prospects are having nice seasons, with Dearborn and Harris adjusting well to AA since their call-ups.

              Looks like we are well represented at the ASG this year. Bires, McDade, Folland, Owens, Ingram, and McPherson.

                Just saw Seattle 3B Donnie Benoit made the All-Star team. That's pretty neat.

                  It tried to in Saurday's game, but my manager rarely if ever pinch hits... Bases loaded one out... two Ks. Good stuff!

                    A 2-4 week, including getting swept by my hometown team, and that drops us 2.5 games behind Washington. According the the pundits though, that is a big enough lead for us to throw in the towel since it seems Washington already has the Brewmaster on lock.

                    Despite all of that, our ragtag band of misfits somehow managed to send six (4 of the 12 pitchers on the IL roster) players to the All-Star game. I'm especially happy to see RP Tom Monk get his first All-Star appearance after nine years of being a rock for our bullpen. It's pretty much guaranteed that #62 will get retired (whenever I get around to retiring jerseys).

                    We look forward to the All-Star break to rest up our older players and get ready for the real fun.

                      Pretty happy with this sim. I really didn't expect to do so well against Washington and Baltimore after getting whooped up by Batavia. Batavia is just a team that's always had our number. Sweeping WAS and BAL eases the sting of the previous sim pretty well and puts us at 50 wins before the break, which I'm happy about. Now we get Washington and Baltimore at home and will probably lose back whatever ground we gained. Such is life in Chicago.
