Little reality check for Pawtucket this sim. Honestly was just hoping for a 3-4 sim this go around. We barely matched up with Maine, but looking at Pitt yesterday I saw nothing that was gonna help. Even brought up Marco for a sim to see if he could help. Nadda.

    And we lumber along.

Updated Trade Block incoming. I'm no quitter, so I'm gonna tank this bad boy in a monster overhaul but with a plan. Every player on the 40 man will have a price.

Thatta boy!!! My previous two plans were fun. This go around I'm spending more time understanding OOTP rather then forming a plan. Good luck.

This high leverage thing is killing me!!!!!!

My manager blew yet another game that we had in the bag. A 4-2 lead going into the eighth with Gerlach and Ingle healthy and the moron trots out three different relievers (Gerlach only for one batter, which he retires) only to see them blow another lead. As good as we've been, this blowing leads with unbelievably stupid in game tactical errors that are super simplistic yet apparently seem to escape my manager are getting really annoying.

I think this might be a strategy/depth chart issue....as it appear your manager did precisely what he is told to do in your depth chart.

The manager went with RH Norm Brown (starting in the 7th) to face three RHs. He's setup, set to 7th inning, so this role was performed correctly.

Then he went with Gerlach, to face a switch-hitter, who is much better against RHs than LHs. He gets the out. He's setup, set to 8th inning.

Then he went with Villalta, a RH MR, but who is also set to "high leverage" as his secondary role, to face RHs CJ Genuario and Jimmy Yenser.

He then brings in Berry, a LH MR, but who is also set to "lefty specialist" as his secondary role, to face the LH Miclissi.

              Few solutions:

You could remove Villalta from High Leverage secondary role and remove Berry from LH specialist. There are no guarantees, but I think in this same situation, with that changed, the manager would have let Gerlach complete the 8th inning, despite the LH-RH matchups. Even further, you could lower your strategy setting for substitution strategy > favor L/R matchup, moving it closer to don't care.

A separate solution, would be to change Ingle's usage option to 8th or 8th+. He has a 6 stamina and could easily have been brought in during the 8th if this setting was changed.

Stop pitching to Danny Garcia. 5 more home runs this week, Pat let's make another T-Shirt bet.

                              Crazy to think...

The #3 hitter on the leagues best team, who plays a premium defensive position, at a DWI level, and a team leader, is popular, was signed in FA for just $3M.
