I guess what I'm really asking is: are you sure the player on the top of your list wasn't picked and you hadn't refreshed your page/screen?
Holy shit, I'm a mental case. The guy you took, Roberto Gomez was #1 on my list. I confused him with the 3rd guy that was on my list.

The list went as it was supposed to.

    • After taking Dusty Thompson in the first round, we waited till the 5th to take catcher Quadir Wheeler. Wheeler hit really well as a 15-year-old. Then he lost his job to PItzer who went undrafted last season but now sits in UNLV. This season Wheeler lost his job to Erik Dunlap who is another player I would love to have on my team.

      • Weird pick from Maine.

        http://www.simgamingnetwork.com/blb/...ayer_8549.html

I grabbed Jimmy Boomsma, who has only six career hits in the Cape Cod League.

Normally I insist on guys who performed.

However, Boomsma has incredible speed and profiles to have exceptional range in the outfield.

And both my scout and OSA insist that Boomsma has the tools to hit passably someday, although he still looks raw and underdeveloped at the plate.

With the 151st overall pick, I felt like he was worth taking a chance on here. He might end up such a tremendous defensive center fielder that he doesn't need to hit much at all to be valuable. Like a Walt Nichol.

By the score it looks like football game.

Not sure I've ever seen a negative game score from a SP.

              • That Bamford kid on the Eli Whitney team is something else.

Two more picks since I talked about my guys, so why not post again.

6.25 - CF Ty Tate - Another pick that is good in the field and a fast runner. Two time Cape All-Star, but was really only good in 2020. Was Glove Wizard at CF this season, though I don't usually put much stock in that in our feeder leagues. Neither OSA or my scout think he has any power, but he's shown at least a small amount of pop.

7.25 - SP Declan Shoup - OSA gives him a 7 for control potential. That's good enough for me, even if my scout doesn't quite agree. He think he can be a spot starter.

Realistically, I don't expect anyone at this point to be a BLB player, but I'll keep on picking.

                  • Holy fuck.

If he's 15 years old and already rates 4/4/4/4/5, I don't think those potentials are far off.
