Those were the two I was targeting for my 2.2 pick. Boo!

Really like the Goins pick at 1.19. He was on my shortlist at 1.5.

Thanks. But I wonder if he would have slipped to the 2nd round? I wanted Evans more.

Goins was in consideration for me at 1.9...there was no way he would have slipped to Round Two. If you don't take him, I bet he goes two picks later to WC, who took another CF.

I tried unsuccessfully to trade up for Evans.

Just give Dallas the best defender in the draft and let's move on.

                    • Wow. 1st overall pick SP Joey Seymour hurt his rotator cuff in his final HS appearance... post-draft.

Wouldn't have changed the pick but come on!

Gotta watch out for those highschoolers with tendinitis. Wish I could say I was rooting for him, but with all those cups in your sigline I don't think I will be. ;)

As for Goins, I definitely would have been taking a serious look at him if he had dropped. I think it was a great pick and don't think there was much chance of him falling into the 2nd. He's got good ratings and better stats, he can defend all three outfield positions, he's a monster on the basepaths, he can hit lefties and righties, and he's a natural born leader. Yeah, I can see why you're having second thoughts.

                              • Pawtucket's pick seems to be coming up soon.

I was torn yesterday rushing thru whats left so didnt turn on list picks on. I should be able to make my pick by 6:30 central. Please please allow some slack. Its been a heck of a week.
