No. As in OOTP is a flawed game. What makes the BLB great is the people.

I'm hoping it gets better once we switch to 18.

                This may be true.

Or the mechanics are the same and the GMs we have now are just more involved and just better.

                  True.

But I think it was my time off from the BLB that me realize I can't quit you guys.

                    I'd quit Hank right now.

Im hoping it's this. There seem to be more committed owners which makes robbing new guys to stay ahead a little tougher. We've also moved past anyone having the benefit of super players with really cheap contracts which has also evened out the playing field a bit.

Pick 1.2 is in. I'm not in love with it because I really wanted a bat, but alas I had to choose BPA. Hopefully Perez develops into a solid #3, which is a low bar for a 2nd overall pick, unfortunately.

I think this was the smart move.

Sandy Perez was in consideration for the #1 pick and even as recently as a sim or two ago, I thought he very well might be the pick. Like you said, not thrilled about him as a 1.2, but he looks to be a really good pitcher all the same. OSA has him 6-7-6 and the 2nd highest GB (64%) of any SP. He throws five pitches, four+. Decent intangibles. High stamina. Didn't give up a single HR this season. Good velocity. Well known. Never been hurt.

But, I think he probably ends up a #2/#3 type and at 1.2, like you said, is a bit low bar. But the pick feels really safe that he will be a good pitcher and probably in the BLB while Pat Evans is still at the top of his game.

I like the pick. Perez would have been my #1.

Was going to pick Perez if he were on the board. Still happy with Ace McDaniel.
