Pick 1.2 is in. I'm not in love with it because I really wanted a bat, but alas I had to choose BPA. Hopefully Perez develops into a solid #3, which is a low bar for a 2nd overall pick, unfortunately.Philly Freedom

Sandy Perez was in consideration for the #1 pick and even as recently as a sim or two ago, I thought he very well might be the pick. Like you said, not thrilled about him as a 1.2, but he looks to be a really good pitcher all the same. OSA has him 6-7-6 and the 2nd highest GB (64%) of any SP. He throws five pitches, four+. Decent intangibles. High stamina. Didn't give up a single HR this season. Good velocity. Well known. Never been hurt.
But, I think he probably ends up a #2/#3 type and at 1.2, like you said, is a bit low bar. But the pick feels really safe that he will be a good pitcher and probably in the BLB while Pat Evans is still at the top of his game.Wilmington Wildcats- 2057-
