It looks like we finally had a winning SIM.

And we lost Urmson for 5 weeks!

Another injury. We have a 3-4 week and somehow gained ground on first place.

Pitching is horrible.

Now that I've become hooked on watching the replays before getting the score, I can't believe how poor my coaches are a t game management. Guys getting thrown out at home with one out, guys staying at third with two outs, and not trying to score. Intentionally walking batters they should't and pitching to batters they should walk. Taking out pitchers at really ridiculous times, while leaving others in way too long.

I know it's not possible, but I can't help but think we would have 3 or 4 more wins, if I could just game manage myself.

Having said that...

We take two out of three from Hartford and that power hungry lineup and then split with Maine's ridiculous starting staff. The added bonus... Mike Morla is starting to heat up.

52 wins and on the outside looking in... We should've stayed in the IL.

To be fair, OOTP has some really odd things happen during play by play and a lot of it is because it doesn't have better commentary to cover the dice rolls that don't make sense with the missing context.

There used to be a line in there that said something like:

Hot shot to second...
He reaches for it...
Makes the grab...
Throw to first...
Out by a step.

Unless everyone is Ichiro, no.

There were some others considering fly balls that didn't make sense, throws at the corners, runners on third. I assume some are still there.

TIL American Airlines wifi can't download the sim.

We were 4-2, staying the course. Ledbetter had another nice week and I think we will roll with this team through the deadline. Why change what's working?

Good points! I've noticed that quite a bit. Still, I'm amazed how much fun it is to watch the play-by-play.

It is a lot of fun. But I don't think we have scratched the surface as there is usually ball animation and 3D stadiums.

I'm not sure what we had to do in the settings to see that though.

3-4 sim, treading water for now. JP Lombardi has shown flashes but with his 1-9 record, I have to make a change. I'm gonna call up top 20 prospect Pat Bowman and going to give him a chance to earn a spot in the rotation. It's an early audition for next year. The Stout continues to be a crazy good division.
