4 game sweep of Windy City gives us some nice momentum out of the break. Part of the turnaround IMHO is due to the fact that I finally can trot out my planned Opening Day lineup with Ortiz and Peller coming off of the DL. Hopefully their return will signal a return of some offensive consistency.

2-2 as we split the road trip to Davenport.

We posted a blistering, 1.32 ERA for the series to go along with an abysmal .180 batting average. Our offensive stars in Gosser, Filar, and Hanson got no help from the supporting cast this series which was a waste of a host of amazing pitching performances by our pitching staff. In the All-Star game, Gosser and Filar both represented well with Gosser going 2 for 3 with and an RBI wihle Dusty "Park Factors" Filar hit a home run in the 11th inning to put the IL ahead 4-3 in the game. Now we get the 2nd half of the season in full swing with a 3 game series in Death Valley and a rematch against Windy City back in the friendly confines.
