I'm not sure how Todd Taylor doesn't make the top pitcher list...

        10 wins (tied for 3rd)
        2.45 ERA (tied for 8th)
        0.94 WHIP (5th)
        1.2 BB/9 (tied for 9th)
        2.5 WAR

Not a big deal, just seems like he should be somewhere in the top 20.

Damn you! Seven really good games between our two clubs this year. It seems like we have a team built for playoff baseball, if we can just get there!

4-3 as the boys lost a couple games late that we probably should have gone on to win, but those are the breaks.

We have two All-Star reps. First there is everyone's favorite 2nd best, IL first baseman, 1B D.J. Gosser and in a surprisingly resurgent career, OF Dusty Filar is voted in as an alternate. What is also pleasantly surprising is that we go into the All-Star break just 1/2 game back of 1st place in the Stout and tied for the most wins in the IL. We've gotten great production from a lot of places and with Lara returning next week and both 2B Pat Bryan and LF Jarod Farrow back in August, we might be able to make a run for this Stout title.

I hate to add salt to Kodiaks wounds but Filar is killing it.
He may have needed a change of scenery though.

              Also happy for Izzy Briseno.

I just looked. The right field has the dimensions of a little league field. It's the New Yankee Stadium. Something I'd never thought of when comparing players before. Thanks for the tip Pat!!

                    I agree.

A guy who hit 106 home runs in his first 4 seasons is probably barely sneaking it just over the fence.

As often as I mention it, park factors are routinely overlooked.

Anyone else having problems with the forums PM system?

It keeps telling me I'm over the 1,000 quota but whenever I chose to delete the PMs it doesn't work.

I also haven't been able to edit my user settings because it asks for a human verification question and I don't see it.

There's a reason why my lineup has so many lefties, why my rotation is left handed heavy.

Got to build for your park. Or build your park for your team. Whichever you choose. Though the former is easier and less expensive. Probably also best and sustainable.

A big week in Denver (fourth in weekly rankings?? Wow that's a major jump). The biggest was sweeping Washington. We now lead the Bock. Hoping to stay there.

Denver Bulletin: say hello to Dave Slack in free agency. We decided to eat his salary and move on. We did it with Wil Perez and Travis Anthony earlier this season.

This allows us to promote Tom Martin as an additional bench bat.

Anyone that needs a 1B should take a stab at Slack. He can still be a reliable hitter.

i know we are all so old and mellowed out now. Can't even get a good old BLB argument started nowadays.
