  • Offseason Schedule

As always, this schedule is subject to change. Please let me know if there are any questions. Also, please let me know if you have NOT purchased OOTP 9.

    S 9/14
    - NO SIM

    T 9/16 - Offseason 1 - Playoffs to Pre Arbitration
    Length: ~10 days
Export Notes: Decline options. Release Arbitration eligible players. Re-sign players before FA. Stadium Fund transfers open

    T 9/23 - Offseason 2 - Pre Arbitration to Post Arbitration
    Length: ~10 days
Export Notes: Last chance for trades and to re-sign players before FA.

    Th 9/25 - Offseason 3 - Post Arbitration to Rule 5 Draft
    Length: ~10 days
Export Notes: You can start making FA offers after this sim. Make sure to place players you don't want to lose in the Rule 5 draft on your 40 man roster (Players with the # sign next to their name)

    S 9/28- Free Agency 1 & Rule 5 Draft
Length: 7 days. Rule 5 Draft will happen on this day. We will probably use the draft list feature so you can export your draft rather than running it live.
Export Notes: Stadium Fund transfers closed.

    T 9/30 - Free Agency 2 - WBC 1st Group Stage
    Length: 7 days

Th 10/2- Free Agency 3 - WBC 2nd Group Stage

    S 10/5 - Free Agency 4 - WBC Semi Finals
    Length: 7 days

    T 10/7- Free Agency 5 - WBC Finals
    Length: 7 days

Please note, it is important to keep your DFA clear during the next two sims so we don't get hung up.

Th 10/9 - Free Agency 6 to Start of Pre-Season (Draft Class published)
    Length: ~30 days

    S 10/12 - Start of Pre-Season to Spring Training

T 10/14 - First half of Spring Training
    Length: ~15 days

Jose Sanchez is definitely going to be a FA. Demanding 22 mil a year after the conversion and I have $0 for extensions.

He may be worth it, but I know I'm not interested.

Grandon v Sanchez... I think Sanchez will be the Silver Medalist in that bidding war.

          To many rings to count...

            You've got plenty of bats.

I imagine that both will garner some interest. Even if Sully's not interested there are some teams out there with a lot o money to spend.

I have money to spend, but I think it's quite obvious I need pitching. Expecting my young arms to put it all together in one year might be asking too much.

Wilmington will be looking to add a top starter.

Oh... for sure... I have no doubt both guys will get paid. Be intersting to see how it goes down, especially if either/both jump to the IL after success in the DL exclusively.

I need to add 5 top starters.

I think Wilmington is easily in the best shape in the Stout. Great bats. No bad contracts. With teams needing to cut budget, I think a little creativity will be all it takes to get a starter without ever touching FA.

Not sure what I'll go after...I'm still trying to decide if I want to keep MacKnight and McGee.

I don't, which is another problem.

It will be nearly impossible to resign those guys without the game. :)

If I can't, I blame the U.S. Government for not lowering the drinking age.
