  • How was your draft?

Taking a look at the top systems page I moved up from either 16 or 17 to 10 and overall I think I did pretty well...how did you do?

Not happy with mine at all. My scouts don't like the players I drafted as much as they did when I drafted them. I hoped to add some pitching depth to my system but instead we spent 5 picks on RF and 2B. None of my picks cracked the top 100 so I'd be surprised if I got 1 impact player out of this draft.

Pretty solid apparently. We moved up to #2 in the rankings.

        Pretty good.

My 2nd pick moved to my #8 top prospect and my 3rd pick to #7.

Considering we didn't have a 1st rounder, pretty good. We have some potential nice young starting talent all in single A and all under 20. One guy we drafted in the 8th round already had his potential improve.

Since we didn't have a first rounder, we had a weak draft. Actually dropped a couple spots in the overall ranking.

I'm not very happy with my draft. We picked 3 SS for some reason and a bunch of MR. My top pick was in the top 100 last week, but has dropped out this sim.

I think I did better than the top systems thing shows, because I picked up some talent in later rounds I probably shouldn't have gotten, that at some point will be role players in my major leagues.

So I think it's more than just top systems.

no one in my draft ended up in the top 100. but some are performing well in single A, so I still have hope that 1 might develop into a solid major leaguer.

I'm not quite sure why my team drafted either a CF or a MR for the last 7 rounds. I'm not quite sure why 3 of my scouts liked the bum i drafted in the 1st round so much either.

Pretty lousy after the first two rounds. I wish I had drafted more starting pitchers. But hey, it has to be better than my draft last year featuring colossal first round bust Carlos Bamentos.

I keep telling myself he's only 19, but damn.

So far so good for the 2nd overall pick:

                        10 RBI
                        10 R
                        4 BB
                        14 K
                        .352 AVG
                        .395 OBP
                        .507 SLG
                        .902 OPS

It's only Single-A but definitely off to a great start...I think he might be the next Keppel!!
