Wow. I am very impressed by our team. We completely rebuilt in one freaking year. After all that roster turnover, all those draft picks, here we are back int he playoffs again. I knew we'd get back, but I seriously thought it would be longer than this. But we're structured financially now where we can make a run every year for awhile now barring injury.

We went into this year shopping MaCowl, but without any real good offers we just held onto him and as we started winning though, hey hell let's go for it.

Davenport totally owned us though and I'll be suprised if we win a series, but simply getting here is very satisfying.

You've got that right. I'm considering giving you my vote for GM of the year but I'm not even sure what you did to win that many games.

I think I had my worst sim of the year. Started out with a 10-0 win over Los Alamos, then blew two 4 run leads to lose the next two to him and finished the 162 game season by getting swept in a 4 game set by Carolina and, as far as I know, a man who is not even here.

The bullpen, which had been reliable for the last couple of months really stunk. It doesn't make me very confident going into my playoff rematch with the defending champs.

Nothing really special... I think I drafted really well during the expansion draft(I spent alot of time researching players before the draft), manged line-ups /strategy, and picked up a few guys from waivers.

I also spent alot of time at the OOTP forums trying to figure out how to play this damn game, cause it is very deep compared to other text sims I had played. Clay answered many of my questions early on too.

Once again... Clay going above and beyond for the league... even if it means hurting his own team. I may never win the J. Allen Wright... but someday... OH YES... someday.... GM's will compete for the Clay T. Shaver Award.

THE HTML is kind of screwy BTW. The pitching stats for the week didn't make it in. In fact, my entire 1st game of the week didn't.

              Strange.

I am not sure what you mean by clear your DFA. I don't think we can even do this if we put a player on waivers last sim - at least not without removing him from waivers - since he won't have cleared yet.

I thought the CCC was in honor of your GM'ing skills, Clay.

Props to my minor league system:

For the third year in a row Seattle (A) has been awarded the ILA top hitter.

                    1982: Steve "Pongo" Boyd
                    1983: Clarence "Dusty" Rice
                    1984: Víctor Fernández

In AA, Juan Carlos Ramírez was named the ILAA hitter of the year. It is the first award for the 18 year old who is currently on California's AAA squad Bakersfield.

While the Kodiaks are still struggling to make a name for their self, their minor league teams have produced quite a few stars in just the three years since I took over the organization.

                    Since 1982:
ILA hitter of the year: 1982, 1983, 1984
ILA pitcher of the year: 1983
ILAA hitter of the year: 1984
ILAA pitcher of the year: 1983
                    ILA playoff appearance: 1983
                    ILAA playoff appearance: 1983
                    ILA A Ball Champions: 1983
                    California Kodiaks - GM - 1982-2013
                    Brewmaster's Cups: 1987
                    Import League Champions: 1987, 1989
                    Porter Division Champions:
                    1986, 1987, 1989, 1999
                    , 2000
                    Import League Wild Card: 2001, 2003, 2004
