Sorry, gotta reign you back in on that one.

But really don't trip JJ. Gremades is a great player and everyone knows it. At least, your running joke is a potential HOF. Mine is 90 million dollar bum. And I didn't even hire the cat.

that's it right there though.... Stafford is the perfect example.... you (ElPrez) gets hit with the Stafford stuff and he had nothing to do with the guy's ratings hit or his contract... it just becomes part of the landscape. Andrew and his "cheating for Maine" or his 5 day weekends.... Riverman and Jistic and their tendency to go against the majority... Diesel and his crying.... the entire Virginia and California organizations.... things like these are just running jokes that are always going to be around... that's the best part of an online league. If it was just show up, download, upload, repeat... what fun would that be?

The Gremades thing is funny. He's great player that will likely always be in the shadow of Keppel. It's baseball.

Unfortunately, and you might want to get use to this idea now.... you're far better off with the Gramedes thing being your "schtick" then getting the "sensitive" one. Plus, I have a bunch of 19.2 baud modem jokes lined up for after you move.

I've got a solution to avoid further Gremades jokes. Trade his ass to me.

I'd gladly put up with it.

I don't know what you guys are talking about... I hate you Henry Stafford... but dammit do I respect you.

And I don't think it's biased at all, they all have legit arguments. But if Zamora keeps up his pace... in just over half the games that your boys have, Zamora already has the highest VORP...

            Molenza 29.1 VORP .776 OPS
            Corona 25.0 VORP .761 OPS
            Zamora 29.9 VORP .857 OPS

Your guys have the RBIs, but if I didn't have Zamora in the leadoff spot, he'd be at least a little closer. Like someone else said, there's a lot of time left.
I forgot our guys competed last year for the ROY...and now look has what happened to Melgoza...talk about sophomore slump.

I didn't even look at VORP or OPS...Zamora does have good numbers for those stats.

I had Molenza in the lead-off role for a while and surprisingly he had a fair amount of RBIs but I ended up putting Zimerman back in the leadoff role since he's been so good for me there.

It'll be a close race again, that's for sure.

I don't get Melgoza AT ALL. Every time I look at him, it seems he's having a decent enough sim, but he must go many sims in between where he does absolutely nothing.

I thought for sure that guy would be a clean up hitter for life after his breakout rookie year, but now... I'm just wondering when he'll put it all back together.

If I had to pick right now for the IL,

                SS-Alvarez
                NB-Alvarez
                PA-Aurillo

That kid is awesome and the worst thing is...looks like he still expects to come off the bench?

Not in Baltimore though. Just call me Chris Bosh.

I gotta get some type of love for the J. Allen.

                    Baltimore:
                    1982: 79-83, 4th place-31 GB
                    1983: 78-84, 3rd place-31 GB
                    1984: 71-52, T-1st, ???

                    AAA-Admirals:
                    1983-54-76, 4th place-16 GB
                    1984-66-55, 1st place-???

                    GM Record:
                    1983: 39-32
                    1984: 71-52

It's gotta be the shoes. But seriously, if or more likely, when, I have to blow this team up in the off-season to get back in the black, and I come back and I am still competitive against Philly and up-and-coming Cali...I want my props.

I think a new GM taking over an existing team has to put in at least two full seasons before they get full blame or full credit for their team's success or lack there of. You're definately doing well, but you're also doing it with very, very few people that you signed or drafted. Keep it up though! You're doing well.

elprez is doing a great job, but it's unfair to compare records. Two years ago, Wilmington won 110 games, which I think is still a BLB record. Washington won close to 100 games that same year. Those two teams were in Baltimore's division. Plus, there were no expansion clubs to beat up on. Last year, Washington put together another great season, and there were still no expansion teams to beat up on.

So, yeah, other factors play into it. Still, I didn't think Baltimore would be as good as they are right now. Like I said, you're doing a great job. Keep it up.

Back to back postings from Clay and Sully complimenting someone on their performance.....?

This is still the BLB board right?
