3-3, about what I expected. We managed to gain another game in the standings though.

Lose 2 of 3 to Batavia partly thanks to horrible starts and then take 2 of 3 from Baltimore. Justin Chewning goes 3-5 with 3 RBI's in his first game as a BLBer.

Philly moves into a tie with Baltimore. And watch out Pat, Wilmington is sneaky close, 4 games back. Sully, would you still have tried to sell at the deadline knowing where you are right now?

Probably. I entertained a few offers for some good players, but my asking price was high. If someone paid it, I would've moved them, but I really didn't think anyone would pony up.

As for adding to my team, I let everyone know that it had to make sense for my team past this season. I wasn't looking to trade good prospects for rental players.

I don't expect us to make the playoffs. It's just funny that we can play .500 ball, and still gain on 1st place. We're moving in the right direction, that's for sure. It also helps that Washington has fallen pretty far in just one season.

                    Aight sim, 2-4

Team is playing decent recently since we acquired Puerias. It's nice to have him on board.

A lovely 2-4 SIM to end the momentum of the past month. However, I'm pretty happy with how all my minor leaguers are playing, with many figuring to be BLB ready next season, maybe too many even. Doesn't mean they're guaranteed success, but I like my chances. Unless a collapse happens, AAA New Haven will make their first playoffs, while AA Middletown will make their 6th consecutive trip to the postseason. Hey, gotta look forward to something...

I heart interleague play! 5-1 this sim, back up to a 3 game lead. Lost Rodenas for a few weeks, got another monster bump from a 1984 draft pick. Closer Don Blanche got upgraded to an 8-5-6 according to my head scout. We liked him in the 5th round, but this was a nice surprise.

Side note: Last year we only won 71 games, it's August 20 and we've already gotten 70. Very pleased with the quick turnaround as we've been able to rebuilt our entire organization and be competitive for years. Just didn't know it would come this quick.

2-4 sim. Won two of three against Hartford, then got swept by Maine. Four losses by a total of five runs.

Wow. I still will probably sneak into the playoffs, but this team isn't going anywhere if they can't win close games. And they haven't, all year.
