I think Jose Sanchez asking for 20 mil a year after being injured practically the whole season is ridiculous too. I wish the salaries in this game were a little closer to what they were in 1985.

Except the team budgets are more like they are today. These guys will all end up signing for less if no one offers them what they want but the money is out there to meet a lot of those demands.

Yeah... it's out of whack, but like Riverman said, the money is there.... plus... in the case of Stapley... while his demands are insane... if you need a starting Catcher, he's really the only option.

That's what I mean though, I wish the salaries/budgets, etc. were accurate to the time period. There wasn't a guy making $10 million year in MLB until the early/mid 90's...and there's several players making $15+ million in a league that's currently in 1985.
