    By 7-2 or 6-3, I really meant 4-5.

3-3 home sim. Lost two of three to Davenport. Won two of three against Baltimore.

        The Good
-Through nine August games, C Jerry Fortin has hit four home runs. His previous month high is five.
-Recently signed 3B/1B Florentino Corulla is hitting only .208, but it sims every time he does hit, its an XBH. He has 11 H in 19 G, but he has an OPS of .755, 6 doubles, 1 triple, two homeruns, 13 RBI, and 6 BB. In the three games won this sim: 2 RBI in a 4-1 win, 3 RBI in a 7-3 win, and 2 RBI in a 7-2 win.

        The Bad
-Closer #3 has failed. Recently acquired CL Merlin Thompson is now 0-5, in 8 games played with the Bats. WOW. Closer audition #4 is in the hands of SP/RP George Neilly. We will see if he sticks.
-My bullpen continues to really struggle, now dropping to 8th in the IL in ERA. If I can't get this pen figured out by playoff time, I won't last long.

        The Ugly
-One of my better hitters on the season C/1B Keita Uchiyama is 6-42 in August.
-After an April and May where he had a .835, and .787 OPS, 3B Brody Whiteley has followed it up with .529 in June, .641 in July, and so far just .667 in August.

        This Week
-Interleague! With the DH! Excitement! The Bats travel to Hartford and then to Maine. Should be a fun trip. Probably another .500 sim.

        Minor League Watch
-Last week of Single-A and Double-A. Triple-A has two weeks left.
-Only my Double-A team is head to the post-season this year...they have won the Double-A title three times, in 1980, 1981, and 1983.
        Wilmington Wildcats- 2057-
        Seattle Pilots- 2017-2041

A 3-3 sim this week, but we made up a game in the division and find ourselves 4 back.

The good news is none of our pitching got blown up this week as our worst outing was a quality start: 7IP 3ER. Hopefully this is a sign of good things!

            I'm home, Bitches!!!

            Quick take:

            - 3-3... .500 or better for like 9 straight weeks!! Swept the Wildfire... then got swept

            - Joshua Poling could be the real deal

            - A blown save away from a 6-0 week as Los Lunas Interim Manager. I got skills!

I know you all missed me!! Pointless rambling tomorrow!

Our pitching is so terrible... but we at least went 3-3.

1-5. Just when things are kinda shaping up...or at least better than they were...we drop this bomb. At least we only had 2 errors in 6 games.

I don't understand why my minor league guys are all tired. Does the start every second game feature not work? I look at the past games and none of the backups seem to play. Is it easier just to have one set of guys vs LHP and another set for RHP? I would like the young guys to get about equal playing time.

Are you using your 7-day lineups?

That has been the culprit for me on many occasions. Not realizing that I had it selected and all my guys a starting for 3 weeks straight without a break! Good times...

Make sure you're editing your +DH lineups in the minors. ALL minor leagues use a DH, even for IL teams.

Going to be tough to hold onto my lead over Pittsburgh this week. I'm going up against Wilmington and Washington while he faces Virginia and Morgantown.

                          Do DH's get tired?

I don't believe so. Shinamius has been my DH all season, I don't have a sub set up for him on my depth chart, he's played in every game the last 2 sims...and he's currently 100% rested.

Crap, we lose Lacy for the season, but he'll be back for Spring. We went 2-4, but are finally through the worst part of our schedule.

2nd round pick Dave Wyatt took a mammoth talent upgrade, I think all of my scouts finally agree with the one who loved him from day one. He's gone from an "unranked" prospect to #1 in our organization over Luis Antonio Ramirez, which is saying something. Will be interesting to see what the SISA rescout thinks. Our A team is flat stacked with hitters at almost every position.
