Weird week for Maine. Very low scoring with every game being decided by 3 runs or less. Swept Mississippi but only outscored them 8-4, winning 2 of the games in our last at bat.

Decent start for van Slyke saving 2 games but the 7 walks in only 4 innings is a little concerning. Frank Kelly and Ronnie Tribe also didn't take their demotions in the bullpen all that well.

Galterio Tibaldi will be back in CF this week. I'm also shuffling around my lineup quite a bit. Bermeo will go back to 2B, MacCabe to 3B, Broome to DH and Miladelroca to SS. Broome will probably lose his starting spot when Amistad Caballero comes back later this month.

Can someone tell me how Clarence Nicholson, who last sim was BA's #35 prospect, has fallen completely out of the top 100 without a talent drop? Is there a ratings hit coming next sim?

One of our favorite guys on the farm, Martin Roundtree, is out for 7 months with a herniated disc. That adds him to my injured minor league all stars with recently called up to AAA Ron Rabe (2 months), 83 first rounder Ivan Ontiveros (12 months), 84 3rd rounder Jerry Morton (7 months), who had been mashing the ball in A. We seem to get a ton of 1-4 week injuries down on the farm also. Do I have a bad team doctor? Is there something I can do to decrease this?

        1. The mysteries of the BLB.

        2. Nope. Luck of the draw I believe.

          Isn't just pure luck?

And hidden injury ratings of course...

I'm still wondering if good coaching has anything to do at all with how well a player develops.

There's a good chance his ratings took a hit and your scout just hasn't noticed it yet. I just did a couple quick scouts and my guys have him as 4/5/4 potential when we used to have him as 5/6/5. Sometimes they'll drop off the list because of their age but unfortunately with Nicholson that doesn't appear to be the case.

Talent changes in OOTP 8 are way too drastic and random. Hopefully we won't see this as much in 9.

              SWEET.

My guy still has him at 5-6-5, but I'm sure that will change soon.

Davenport shut me out twice this sim. I need Latham to find his bat soon.
