I don't mean cash for the Owner... I meant an in-game benefit. Like a boost in budget or market share... or automatic 100 in Fan Interest for a season... something

Don't we have something planned along those lines that begins after all budgets are adjusted to the 3-8 market sizes?

I was going to suggest something like this. It would mimmick how real world sports work, and would allow teams the chance to create a dynasty.

You would think Merchandising revenue would increase by a certain percentage as well.

Yes, I think you are allowed to trade picks up to 5 years in advance, though a deal is likely to come under scrutiny by the trade commitee if let go very many high picks. Diesel got a deal axed for trying to pick up something like 5 years of high picks even before we had a trade commitee.

I guess getting McNeilage and Lang would place me in the Winner column.

There needs to be a motivation for teams that are in the hunt to "go for it" and risk their farm to grab the brass ring.

Not only will it keep things fresh all year... but I think it will create parity.
like i did for the past 2 years. i got NOTHING in my farm system. Granted I got GOOD players in return, but one died and the other isn't performing to snuff. But the players I traded away aren't going to be all-stars anytime soon, so I think it was fair all the way around. The trades I regret are trading away Jason Peyton away for a 2nd rounder (he went to win it all with Wilmington, and Keita Uchiyama to the Bats for Chaim Lamberts.
