Yeah, I wanted Donato Guardamagni in the worst way. Not sure I'll have the scratch in the open market.

If Donato hits free-agency, he is going to set the BLB record for largest contract.

      Book it.

        I'm not sure...

        What is the record???

People were way smarter this year... plus... there isn't as much money floating around anymore.

Smarter, yes, but it's not often a young pitcher with Donato's track record hits the open market. 20 million per, at least.

What's Murcott's contract? I feel like I gave him a ton of money back in 82.

Murcott only makes $18 per... barely Top 10

              1 Graham Tandy Baltimore $25,520,000
              2 Nick Latham Baltimore $25,500,000
              3 Wilton Harcourt Virginia $24,510,000
4 Toby Rochester Los Alamos $24,000,000
              5 Amato Albors Dallas $23,688,746
              6 Vittorio Samarano Dallas $20,041,891
              7 Subaru Hiraki Indianapolis $18,500,000
              8 Tim Murcott Virginia $18,000,000
9 Sergio Lumar Sin City $17,890,000
              10 Jimmy O'Loughlin Pawtucket $17,760,000

He'll definately become the highest paid Pitcher... but I don't think he'll make Top 5.

Bottomline... you're likely goin to the playoffs...

There are at least 5 guys in the Top 10 that won't sniff them.

Believe me, I understand that. But, I'm not comfortable with the Yankee style of baseball management.

Well, Latham comes off your books after this season... so... you'll at least move back into the same air as most of the league. The trick is... will you spend again?

Again, Zamarida signed the richest contract (total dollars) in BLB history. Though, his deal was an extension.

And despite what every scout in the world says, he still can't hit for average. Freaking guy.
