Just to let everyone know, after releasing Corulla, my available cash for extensions next year went from 4,700,000 to somewhere in the 13 mill range immediately. Never would have guessed that. I'm projected 10 mill under budget, but still.Charlotte Knights - OSFL
Syracuse Slammers - BLB
South America - 1984 WBC Runner Up

It looks like your cash balance is going to be around $20 million in the hole after the luxury tax though. I know we used to have a rule that teams that went negative needed to bring their cash back above 0 at the end of the following season. I am note sure if this rule still applies but if it does you may need to be carefull with new contracts.
I think that the game automatically resets negative cash to 0 at the end of the year but I don't think this applies to the BLB for obvious reasons.

The way I figure it you do. You only have a cash balance of $12 million now and figure to take in an additional $20 million in revenue against $35 million in extra expenses then the luxury tax will be a big hit of $15 million or so.
Like I worte though, I wouldn't worry about it for the end of this year since teams (or at least one) have gone into the red before. But I think you should take steps to make sure you're back in the black by the end of next season.

If I knew this I would have released that scrub at the beginning of this year.
