Former 1st round pick Manny Hernandez was solid in his BLB debut...5.2 innings and 3 earned runs, although he did take the loss.

        Same here

I also lose one of my top two minor pitchers for six weeks. So now my top two pitching prospects are shelved for six weeks, wonderful.

Also, I continue my terrible luck with player development in the minors as I got not one, but two, emails about a player regressing. My 3rd rounder from last year regressed into nothingness.

Dissappointing 1-2 sim for Virginia, but I did get two really nice pitching performances from Oyos and Arrendondo. Did keep Latham and Tandy off the big fly board... but would have rather had the wins. Magness got hit hard in his first start since sliding up to the #2 spot in the rotation, his new home for (hopefully) the next 8-10 years.

Good sim for Baltimore. We won 2/3 in VA, despite a poor outing from Latham this series. I'm almost convinced that Tandy hits better when he plays at 2nd instead of 3rd. He's had 11 errors at third and that poor play translates to poor hitting, I'm thinking.

I moved him back to 2nd after calling up Boyd and his average has increased almost a 1/10 of a percent in that timeframe. If he gets back up to the .285+ range, I'll believe it 100%.

              2-1 for Wilmington.

Alvarez belted two homers, and drove in 6 runs in the series opener.

Interesting observation. I've noticed something like that before while playing a guy in a postition at which he is poor. Other owners have denied that this is a factor though, so I am really not sure.

I notice that Tandy played 64 games last year at 3B and also had 12 errors vs 7 errors in 79 games at 2B and SS. I wonder if he hit better while not playing 3B then too. Also, looking back to his years in Dallas, the one year he played most of his games at 3B was 1981, which was also his worst year offensively while with that team.

                  Did anyone offer Stafford anything?

                    I scouted him...and he's just awful. I wouldn't take him for free.

I think Alvarez easily breaks Keppel's rookie RBI record, but I'm not sure he gets Frank Hamlet's HR mark. Maybe. 33 is the BLB record for Rookies (31 for the IL - Danny Nelson).

My "hitting scout" is an ass. He refuses to say Stafford sucks. He still has him as 4,4, 5, 6, 4.

Corona had his best sim of the year and it was only 3 games:

                            4R, 9H, 3HR, 14RBI, .600 AVG

I thought Molenza was going to make a run at DL ROY but looks like Corona is turning it on now.

The Admirals have battled back from a dismal start to finally take the lead in the AAA-Stout. Its likely to be a helluva race in there.
