Methinks Keppel either doesn't want to be traded... or was putting on a serious audition for suitors this week. HUGE week!

Terrible sim. I won 2 of 3 (only) against Virginia and even worse, my second best prospect went down for 7 months and lost about 30 spots in BA rankings. He'd just started establishing himself at the AAA level. I can't seem to get a good prospect through my minor league system. I guess I am not the only one.

At least it looks like Kenichi Sato got off to a solid start.

Dealba had an OK outing but didn't get any run support. The 7 walks also didnt help his cause.

When you don't have much good to say about a team... you struggle to find anything....

Virginia Fun Fact of the Day: Wednesday? More like WINSday!! The Colonials are 10-3 in regular season games played on "Humpday."

Here's a fun... albeit depressing Kodiaks fact...

Half way through the season (6 games past half way to be exact), and we're only 13 wins away from winning more games than last year's team.

How can being significantly better than last year be depressing?

Because last year was just that bad.

Better is better. It's at least the right direction.

Yeah, Sato is off to a good start and there is actually more good news for me. Joe Hernandez had another good sim and has established himself as the everyday center fielder. He struggled last year as the fourth outfielder. Does anybody know if there is something in the game that makes some players perform poorly as bench players but do better as regulars?

Might have something to do with expectations/morale. I don't have proof... but when I moved Murcott back to leadoff (his expectation) from 6th, he started hitting again.

Interesting observation, I've always wondered if it mattered if a player was unhappy other than for contract renewals. The hypothisis fits with Hernandez since he always wanted to be a starter.

Against that in my solo league I had a guy who was the prototypical leadof man - good average, great speed and OBP but little power. He always was unhappy because he wanted to hit in the middle of the order and I kept him in the lead-off spot. It didn't seem to affect his performance as he holds all of my season and career records for OBP, walks and SBs.
