Cafferty is just unlucky. His record doesn't tell the whole story.

Since May 1st, he's lost 5 games in which he's given up 3 runs or less. 5 games. Losses. Not No-Decisions. Losses. In two other starts he gave up 4. On May 1st, he threw a complete game with 9 K's giving up 4 runs and took the loss.

Goodness. His only problem is walks. Because he doesn't give up hits at all. Opponents are hitting .262 against him. He's given up 81 hits in 103 IP. Of course, he's walked 70. So the baserunners are there and that's why his ERA is over 4. But would be nice if the offense helped him out.

His June. 2.35 ERA. 25 K in 30 IP. His record? 1-3. How does that happen?

Cafferty is a walk machine. That's why he was easy for me to move. Don't get me wrong, he's been good since he left VIR, but I'm sick of high walk guys.

          You prefer high loss guys.

              Did you know.....

Baltimore prospect, Joe Saxton hit for the cycle in his first minor league at-bat....

Is this a sign that we may have a replacement for Latham?

I didn't know it was even possible to hit for the cycle in 1 at bat.

I swear the quote function is the worst thing ever made for online forums.

As if 2-4 and dropping to 3 back wasn't enough, both Tardif and Pateshall got hurt. The bad part is that Tardif's is DtD which means that he will get hurt for real this time. I took him out of the rotation, but he will certainly find his way into a game. I put his pitch count at 1 so hopefully it works.

I also hate that you can't demote player when they are hurt even when they have options remaining; "The player is injured, put him on the DL instead."
No sh*t! But it's only for a week and I don't want to lose him for 2 sims!

                      Can't you DFA him?

I don't think so. The only thing I've tried is demoting a player and I get the ...just put him on the DL... wah, wah, wah... nonsense.

It's a little thing, I know but I always feel like the computer is staring back at me with a know-it-all grin and a whiny tone saying this as if I don't know what I'm doing. :slinks off to therapist appointment:
