Careening towards the #1 pick though. My top two new arms, Sammy Homer and Pat McCoy, had good starts to their career. It will be fun to watch them develop.
2-1 against Miss, 2-1 against Indy. Nothing to write home about, but only 2 games under .500 after a 5-17 start. Best part? Apparently Jack Curry. After starting 0-4 with a 6.00+ ERA, Curry has gone 5-2 with a 2.27 ERA, not allowing greater than 2 runs in his last 7 starts.
- 12-9 in June (best record in the Stout in June - only winning record in Stout in June)
- 5 straight .500 or better sims
- Oyos and Magness both go 7+ and register impressive wins
- Danny Nelson continues to hit
- Harcourt has a 4-5 with a triple and 2 three-run homers in the same game (7 RBIs) to make his statement for his IL 2B All-Star spot (NOTE: This was a 93 game score for the Top Performance of the season thus far among all hitters)
In the minors, wasn't sure that Jerry Tracy was ready for AAA, but gave him the bump anyway since he's already 24 and will likely get the call next season. He responds by winning IL AAA Player of the Week with an impressive debut sim:
What an awesome 0-6 sim for Syracuse. I mean, 0-6 sims are usually pretty sweet, but this one was even better.
-Rookie Raul Zamora had his 18 game hitting streak snapped. But the good news, he's hit safely in 21 of 22 games since being called up. And he just took a ratings bump up. I was really worried about calling him up and ruining him like I'm going to do to the rest of my prospects. But he's the real deal.
-AA OF Joe Esquivel wins AA Hitter of the Week in his first sim after being promoted from A ball. He's done nothing but hit at each level so far.
-We gave up 69 runs in 6 games last sim (Maine and Pittsburgh). Really awesome.
