Ah, but Evan won't magically forget how to hit a baseball during the season when he's a 25 year old.

He'll actually continue to improve until old age shuts down his growth... or he gets hurt.

OOTP, guys just randomly take talent dives... thus the long term contracts become extremely risky.

The development could use some improvement, but I think it's getting too bad of a rap here. It's not completely unheard of for young players to disappear.

Angel Berroa won the ROTY award in 2003 at age 25. He completely fell apart afterward.

Marlon Byrd was a highly touted Phillies prospect who finished 4th in the ROTY voting in the same year at age 25. He lost it.

Look at Dontrelle Willis for crying out loud. There's a long list of ROTY winners who never came close to continuing their success. Many vanished practically overnight.

Some guys just don't work hard enough and continue making the necessary adjustments to maintain their performance. OOTP doesn't necessarily handle this properly, but I certainly don't believe guys should always continue to improve until age or injury sets them back.

Spot just became my favorite person in this league by far.

Brad, your status remains unchanged in the cellar.

Hey... believe me... I think the Danny Nelson example is a great mirror to the real world. I don't have to like it... but it's an age old story.

Similar to your status in the Ale Division

Southern New England is really not doing too well in general. Maine is the only thing keeping the region respectable.

Nothing to hate about him this year.

As for me, anyone on my team can be on that list. Excel one year, flop the next. Flop one year, excel the next. Look at Gabriel Huxham, Carel Fonkert, Brad Taylor, Innis Merriam, Dan Jones, etc.. etc...
