Not that it matters... he'll get run over by a horse or something. they all do.

My one bright spot in AAA.... Poling... all-world.... just screaming this year.... BOOM... back.... 2 months.

I hate this ******* game! I really do. I hate it. It sucks. I hate it.
Ouch, didn't know that about Poling. I was wondering why he wasn't in the BLB yet. Sorry to hear.

I've had some terrible luck lately with youngsters. Hannigan last year, done. Gorrie injured a couple times last year. Day taking a ratings hit. McVean getting a boost, pitching great, then an 8 month injury. He'll probably take a hit. Yay, OOTP randomness!

I think both our squads are cursed- hopefully OOTP 9 saves us.

How mediocre? I guess I sold high...

Well, when he got hurt he took a decent hit

He went from 6-5-5 from my big scouts to 4-5-5

I'll still plug him in at closer, but not expecting much

That sucks. Turns 33 next month, and still on the books for a decent penny.

I'm pulling for Nakano though. Loved that guy.

The lone bright spot of my Sim was my MR in AA, who I was really high on as a MR and had received a couple ratings boosts over the last two seasons - Ivan Perez. He's like a 5-6-7 potential guy, but I was always looking at him as a MR guy. Well, this sim, dude throws a 5.1 inning appearance in relief which opens my eyes to a no-brainer convert. Can never have too many young lefty arms.

$20 says you bring him up too early and ruin him.

True. I'm about to move...next week...but in with another family member.

My brother is offering free rent. Translation: I have a place to bring back ladies from the clubs.

                    Paid for or not.

3-4 sim. I thought we would do better. I dont know, maybe I hoped we would since we were playing Mississippi and Dallas. We took 2 or 3 from Miss, but got owned 3-1 by Dallas, which was huge for us. Or them, I guess.

Overall my pitching wasnt bad, but I had a couple of guys absolutely impload. I'm looking at you Wilde and Cargile.

I'm really thinking of using Joe 'Graveyard' Gauina in the rotation. My top pitching scout really likes him and has him at '5' endurance, but my other scouts all list him as a '4' so I dont know. He pitched 8.1 innings this week without giving up a run, but I just worry about killing my bullpen if he cant go more than 5 innings in an outing.

Something to think about I guess.

Give him one start... if the AI yanks him after 3.0 or 4.0... he's a MR

If not this sim, I think the next for sure. What is there to lose, right?

I just noticed that my waiver claim of RF Joe Socias went through. The 24-year-old is a former 9th round pick of the Washington Bats. He was a Single-A All-Star in 1982, and a Double-A All-Star in 1983. He was selected by Batavia in the expansion draft. He doesn't have great current or potential ratings, but I'm glad to have him back.

I really don't see much hope for us this year...or the next...or the one after that. We are going to have a ton of money but I don't see much FA help.

But it sure is fun to play around with all the lineups/depth charts and see all the stats. This game amazes me how statistically deep it gets.
