  • SIM COMPLETE - 1979 - Sim 5

Alot of trades this week so please double check to make sure I did everything right.

Maine took the lead in the DL Ale. Bill Fallon, who led the DL in HR's last year finally woke up. He had zero HR's over the first month but hit 5 this week with 14 RBI's.

I've never been able to get the new sim to d/l right in game, so I use the link from the home page. It doesn't seem to be working right tonight.

What's wrong with it? The file might have been uploading still when you first tried it.

Well that's not exactly what I was hoping for. I think my offense actually got worse as we drug Reyes down to our level.

Yeah, I saw Reyes wasn't doing so hot. Abe pitched pretty well in his start (7.0 IP, 2 ER), but my offense couldn't do anything and he got the loss. Bedell went 7.2 and only allowed 2 ER and got the win. I'm liking it already...too bad the rest of our rotation is so bad.

Much better week for us. Gained 1 1/2 games on Davenport to get to 2 back. This could be a dogfight. The pitching seems to gelling. Young SP's Cobellan, Hernadez, and now Buller keep improving. They just get overshadowed by my top 3.

7 straight for the Bulldogs. Extending Frank Dallyn appears to have been a good decision.

Pete Kellum has responded to his move to the #2 spot in the lineup by hitting .442/.520/.744 in May.

3-3, but on a positive note I'm glad to see the 3 top rookies of 1979 continuing their dominance.

SS Noah George (Last Week: .296 batting average and .519 slugging %)
LF Joe Cuevas (May: .325 batting average and .525 slugging %)
1B John Larsen (May: .448 batting average and .998 OPS)

                      Still suck.

Jude White is lights out though, too bad he doesn't get in the game often.

2-4, but didn't lose any ground.

4-2 on the week. Split two with Davenport, then took 3 of 4 from California.

I'm hoping my recent pitching acquisitions pay off. Our division is brutal.
