This was finally our first good sim of the season, thanks to Mississippi. Pawtucket is now 10-8 in May and things hopefully are turning around. Another nice thing is actually got two ratings increases this week, they are on some lesser guys though who are just playing well.

We are in this thing..and slowly our guys are coming back from the DL. Was great to have Burgett back in the lineup.

..but of course as is every sim, lost another pitcher for 3 weeks. Gotta keep that DL full!

How I'm only 4 games back, I'll never know. We suck, but we're in the race for now.

I can't remember the last time my team's front page had a story about someone on Pawtucket having a good game. It's usually "Asshole Demanding Trade", "Jimmy O'Loughlin shot and killed" or "No Name goes 6-6 against Pawtucket".

I'll just wait for June. My team seems to pick it up in June.

I need my team to pick it up in June. And July, August, and September. That's all I ask.

Denver use to be the opposite. They were the April team.

Yea? Ever since I took over I've seen them have amazing June's to get back into the race. Last year they climbed to first and it's why I made the moves to add Cafferty and McNeilage. Of course, my team then tanked July and they couldn't get back into the race. The year prior I also remember them having a solid June to climb back into the race. Then they had a good July but couldn't hang on.

Also, I think I want Zamarida to get the flu every other week. Ever since he was diagnosed with the flu and zapped of 33% of his production he has hit .406 with 1 HR, 3 RBI, and 2 SB. Good stuff.

I wish the rest of my team knew how to hit a homerun. Worst team in the league in power.

I do need to add that our fastballs are El Matador-like. Lots of swings and misses if you're facing this pitching rotation. But also lots of free passes (I'm looking at you Cafferty).

I know the year Denver made the playoffs during the oft-forgotten TJ Adminisitration.... they had an unGodly April. Like 22-3 or something obscene. Then a decent May... so they were WAY ahead. Then they collapsed and, if memory serves... got caught in the last series and had to play a one game playoff.

Wow... just realized my Bullpen took all 4 losses that we suffered this week.

I actually thought my pen would be decent this year. Yikes.

I just know I'm jinxing it, but has anyone had 2 completely different months like my team has had? 8-19 in April, followed by 13-4 in May? I don't know which is closer to reality.

4-2 sim. Took 2 out of 3 from California, and 2 out of 3 from Baltimore.

Morgantown's player of the week was Glen Reagan... he was on a tear hitting a phenomenal .565, 5 runs scored, 5 RBI's, and 2 HR's for the week.

This week we have the Tobbs for 3 games and the Bats for 4.

He wasn't just Morgantown's player of the week... he was the IL Player of the Week.

P.S. I hate Morgantown and their instant success.

Yeah just saw that.. I even shorted him 1 RBI and 1 run scored in my earlier post.

Morgantown did something extremely smart. They took borderline pitchers from the DL and brought them to the IL... Of course they'll pitch better in the IL, it's not nearly as good of an offensive league. In fact, their entire rotation pitched in the DL last year.

I think Morgantown's best move was to bring in a legit bullpen. You lose so many games in OOTP in the 'pen that spending some money there right off the bat (which I said at the time) is going to get you at least 20% more wins then a typical expansion.
