I don't think that's correct with OOTP. Jeff Franklin's 22, Joe Aurillo's 23. They're both no longer on the list.

See... that's the part that you're wrong about. This happens to players all the time and there can be a ton of factors that we see in real life, but aren't necessarily as clear in the BLB.

Just speaking about the Tigers (my easiest frame of reference)... nothing happened to Verlander... but look at his numbers this year compared to last. Granderson... nice season... but down about 60 points in his BA.... Polanco... finding his way again finally... but his first month was AWFUL... for no good reason.

I think that the randomness of it all is done well by OOTP.

There must be some other criteria then. The 26th birthday is one point they are taken off the list then. Maybe it has something to do with their remaining option years? If they're out of options and in the BLB they no longer on the list?

Well, Dontrelle is a better case for the OOTP Ratings Drop.

BTW - Found the BA Top Prospects criteria:

25 yrs or under, less than 2 pro years of service time

BTW... Dontrelle has been bad for a while.... well before he was traded to the Tigers.

By pro, I suppose you mean major league but it sure seems like Woodbury was on the list while he was in the BLB a lot longer than that.
