The Farm Report
The Lineup:
Inside Pitch: All the dirt from the minors in one location. Beware, if you can’t stand the heat of the inside pitch… well you know… stay out the kitchen!
System Report: We’ve got a new #1! We’ll tell you who it is; and why did Virginia drop out of the top spot? Analysis like only The Report can deliver.
Prospect Futures: What kid has been climbing up the top 100 charts faster than an Elvis song? Find out in our first edition of Prospect Futures!
Minor Leaguer of the Week: Who’s been dominating the bush leagues? Here’s a hint… He plays for the new #1 organization!
Inside pitch:
Is a current BLB star, and former top prospect already hitting his peak in his early 20’s? Some BLB insiders seem to think so. A pitcher on an east coast team suffered a failed talent evaluation sometime over the week of April 30-May 6. Many hope the news is only a temporary set back for one of the BLB’s brightest youngsters.
What hot prospect has once again graded up in his weekly training reports? Reports out of Indianapolis are suggesting that Pete Miller a catcher with the AAA team, may have graded above his talent evaluations for a whopping fourth time! We’ve been tracking this stuff for two years, and Miller is by far the biggest surprise we’ve ever seen at The Report.
Is Magness in a funk? Nate Magness, SP for Virginia, recently graded lower than expected on a talent evaluation. After a brief mourning period in which Colonials fan (s)? considered giving up on the organization as a whole… order was restored and Magness seems to be back on the right track. Whispers indicate that scouts were worried that he may have lost some of his ability to effective strike big league hitters out… Those fears have subsided some after seeing that Magness has already punched out 17 guys in just 21.2 innings.
System Report:
The fall of one team is the opportunity of another this week as Indy has slipped past Virginia to claim the top spot in this week’s System Report. Spurred on by a positive talent evaluation of Pete Miller, the Clowns now posses two of the top hitting prospects in all of baseball and seem content to hold their spot atop the rankings for quite a while.

Prospect Futures:
Week to week we'll take a look at who's rising, and who's sinking.
Starting off, the week's biggest gainer is RF Carlos Bamentos of Baltimore!
Bamentos comes in this week at 74. Last week he was out of the Top 100. He gained at LEAST 26 spots this week. A star in the making perhaps?
As for the biggest loser, outside of California's stagnant offense of course, is SP Dave Sieverwright of Philadelphia.
Dave drops out of the top 100 after coming in at 61 last week. Of course, this is due to Dave being in the BLB, and not due to negative evaluations by the talent scouts. We wish Dave well with his future in the BLB.
Minor Leaguer of the Week:
This week’s Minor Leaguer of the week is 1B Robby Shannon of the Fort Wayne Comets!
Robby went 15-30 with 2HR’s and 13RBI’s and 10 runs!
On top of that, Mr. Shannon has shown great skill with the glove putting up a .997 fielding percentage in 335 total chances!
Edit: Clay... fix my article. It did it again.
