4-2 this sim. We take 2 or 3 from Pittsburgh, which is nice. They've been tough so far, so its nice to see us take a series from them after struggling the last couple of sims.

I pimp Bill Fyson after the last two sims, so naturally he bombs for us this sim, but Dave Wilde continues to do well for us. We'll see what the next sim holds for him though.

4-2, but I guess I can finally join in with all of those that have been complaining about injuries. SP Edward McVean is out for 8 months with a torn rotator cuff. His career will now officially go down the shitter just as it was getting started. Yay.

Blew a huge save against Washington.

5-1 sim. Won two of three against Philly, and then swept California, one win in which the Bats were down 2-0 in the 9th, tied it up, and then won 4-2 in the 10th. Finally, we are in 1st place. It looks like the Bats are back!

              The Good
Bullpen: Sure they have lost me two games, but what was expected to be a question mark going into the season, a lot of guys have really stepped it up.
Left Side: Shortstop Jack Dynes is hitting .305 and Brody Whiteley is hitting .329.

              The Bad
Underachieving Hitters: Joe Sierra is hitting just .258 (he hit .351 last season). Leadoff man Steve Bing has an on-base percentage of .297 (last year .363).
Sophomore Slump: SP Joe Rodriguez is 2-3 with a 5.93 ERA and 1.45 WHIP. Last year he was 15-9, with a 3.23 ERA and 1.06 WHIP.

              The Ugly
Injured Ace: Eh...It really isn't that bad. Romano Gonzalez got hurt in the 2nd inning against the Kodiaks. By the way the sims line up, he actually will only miss one scheduled start. I really shouldn't complain with how bad some injuries have been, but any time my 35-year-old ace gets hurt, it is never good.

              Prospect Watch
CF/RF Michio Nago - He won't be able to legally drink until late August, but the youngster has played decent in the bigs. He is hitting .265 with a .686 OPS.

LF Miguel Angel Padilla - The 18-year-old is hitting .308 with 20 RBIs at AAA. When I drafted the kid in 1982, at age 16, I thought he would be a huge project. Likely my starting LF come opening day 1985, if not sooner.

RF Oscar Paulet - Currently hitting .354 with a 1.066 OPS at AA. I was planning on bumping him to AAA when the 1984 draft class gets processed, but he might be ready now. He didn't receive an "INCREASE" in the development report, but all my scouts raised their potential ratings on him this sim. He is older at 24, but he was drafted in 1981. The future OF of the Bats very well could be Michio Nago in CF, Miguel Angel Padilla in LF, and Paulet in RF.

              Next Week
In the middle of twelve game road trip. Next up is 16-16 Windy City and 9-23 Batavia. Trying to keep that four game streak alive....

Oh, and Linty...this is for you...

Wow... a broom! Do I get to keep it?

Shows how far Washington has fallen... gloating over sweeping lonely California.

Solid 3-3 week. That's all I got since the HTML isn't updated for the team page yet.

Another injury. This time only for 1-2 weeks. I've had one injury free sim so far.

Yet, somehow with my minor league scrubs, we're .500. Wonder if we can make any noise when we get everyone back?

A tough 2-4 sim. Still up by 4 games but a losing sim in Virginia is very disappointing (although one was 12 inning loss) and losing 2 of 3 at home to Morgantown was maddening considering we got shut out twice.

I'm a bit worried about Tardif. His ratings aren't what you'd call great and he has been less that dominant in the first few weeks of the season. I guess we'll see as the season wears on but that would be a huge blow if he becomes ordinary in his second full season.

With no full version at home (no power) and limited HTML... all I can really say is 3-3 sim with what appears to be a lot closer games.... and only 1 DTD injury.

Yah i'm not sure what to do about the html. I tried to let it upload overnight but 2/3rds of them failed. I might have to install OOTP2007 again and try to create it using that.

Are any other leagues having the problem? Is it an OOTP thing? the site? Weird that it came on all of a sudden.

It's an OOTP thing. When I click on "Create Archive" to zip up the files, it just flashes on the screen and goes away. I posted on the OOTP forums but no response.
