Taking an extension off the table

I'm dealing with some of my younger guys on extensions and there's one player I can't come to terms with. Since I have plenty of time to work on him I want to take the deal off the table without pissing him off (which I think is what would happen if I hit withdraw). Is there any other way to remove that money since my owner won't release any of that money for other extensions?

Re-download the league file is the only way I can think of.

I didn't just make the offer....I made it a few sims ago. He declined but it's still showing up on my list of pending offers. So my only options are offer him another deal or withdraw.
