No HTML = Not much "talky talky" on a Monday

I've decided that my new goal for the season is for, at some point, the Playoff Odds simulator to give Virginia a > 0.1% chance of making the playoffs. I've never seen anything but goose eggs since Andrew installed it. Even the Mohawks are sitting at like 15% right now. Come on Sim Gods!!

What's going to be the decision on waivers? I guess my first question, is it based off of this years record or last years? Secondly, I understand that expansion teams are going to get first dibs. Houck is on my roster and if Morgantown claimed him he deserves him, but at the same time people, including plastic also claimed Soto and I claimed a couple other guys I didn't get.... I'm just sayin, if we go back and move one guy, we need to move them all, including the ones teams don't actually want anymore.

Waiver priority is based on last years record for the first month of the season (which we are currently in). Morgantown will get priority in all claims though (Batavia didn't make any claims).

I'd love to do all the waiver claims but I have yet to see any proof on what claims were actually made, other than diesel's post on the emails he received.

Didn't post the line earlier because I didn't have the HTML... but found it on the Last Sim stats...

          "The Skull" was 7.1 - 8 hits - 2 runs (1 earned) - 1 BB - 7 K's - 100 pitches

We'll take that all day. First appearance since AA where he really showed that strikeout ability.

Let's see two in a row now. I've got a boatload of division games on the road for the next two weeks. 3 with Washington this week... then a 4 game @ Morgantown. If I'm going to sniff .500... I need to set a tone with the new "little brother" in the Stout. I'd love to steal a 4-3 sim this week (1-2 with WSH & 3-1 with MOR)

How can I get proof? I didn't get any emails at all about the two guys I claimed. hmm could it be because of this: I exported without checking the waiver wire on friday. Then when I remembered because of the reminder thread, I did the claiming and made sure everything I did on the 1st export from friday was still done, then exported again. Can you do that? Export over your previous export? If that makes sense...

Yeah... I do it all the time.

Who knows why this game does the things it does...

Btw, I'm pretty sure it was correct in giving me none of the guys I put claims in for as Pawtucket claimed the RP from Washington (worse record than me) and Morgantown claimed Soto and the Catcher (obviously expansion gets top priority)...

So at least on my end, I understand why I didn't get anyone.

                  Yes you can.

Usually a team gets a message if their claim was successful and the team losing the player gets a message as well, regardless of whether it went through or not. We can use these messages to track who actually won each claim. The game uses last year's record for the first month of the season to determine waiver priority. However, because your team doesn't have a record from last year it's using this year's record which at 4-2, doesn't give you very good priority. So basically, we're ignoring the game priority in your case and giving you #1 priority but we don't have the messages to prove it, because the game thinks somebody else had higher priority.

That was a long winded way of saying "I'll take your word for it"

Well I say that the new rule of PMing BLB waiver should take care of all this nonsense.

I saw 2 posts that people confirmed I claimed their players...1 from Diesel (Joe Valdes) and 1 Los Alamos (Escoba) in the 1984 regular season 2 sim post. Is that all you need to move them to my DFA?

I don't think that is the reason you didn't get anyone though. I think I've claimed about 10 guys since I've been in the league and only one got handled in game properly. What a surprise that was.

Yeah. I claimed Lucero and Altahirano for sure. Dunno if I can get proof. Linty would get Altahirano before me anyways but I don't know if anyone else claimed Lucero. Diesel, did you get an email about him?

Secondly, do I need to plan on not having Houck when Tuesday rolls around?

I think Morgantown claimed Houck, so yeah, you should plan on not having him.
