  • Retired Players Stats MIA

Just wanted to let you guys know that there's an issue with the league history. Z noticed yesterday that some of our best players (Pete Kellum, The Matador and a few others) no longer appear on the leaderboards or in the retired players section.

I posted the issue over on the OOTP boards and also emailed the files to Markus. He said he should be able to fix it for us after OOTP 9 is released in June when he has a little more time.

Here is what I posted over there (notice how I took credit for finding it even though Z pointed it out to me )

I just noticed a strange issue with my online league. We upgraded from OOTP 2007 to OOTP 8 after the last season. Now we're around opening day and I looked at the leaderboards and noticed a bunch of players that should be there aren't.

I can find the players if I search and it says they are retired but they aren't listed on the retired players page and have no stats whatsoever. Their history log is intact however.

Any ideas? This is a huge issue if the game is deleting stats for retired players.
they also don't appear on any of the history pages for lineups or rotations. They do appear on the awards page but the stats are all 0's.
I found an HTML page for one of the players on my site:

Sim Gaming Network - Brewers League Baseball

So it at least seems like the game isn't reusing his player ID for a new player because it would have overwritten this file.

However, you can see that his stats are zeroed out on the awards page:

This will certainly make the Hall of Fame committee's job a bit tougher if there's no leaderboard for these guys. Speaking of which, why isn't Kellum in the Hall? What even happened to the Committee? I seem to recall us talking about it a little while back.

I'm not sure Kellum officially retired yet. He just doesn't have a job.

Not sure how we want to handle the HOF. I'll probably wait until this issue is resolved.

If you type his name in the search menu, it says he's retired. This is the only place you'll find any reference to Kellum in the game.

Yeah, he retired. If you search for him, he's listed as retired. His stats are just MIA.

I thought it would have a news line item in his profile. Guess not.

He's already on the Team Doctor's Hall of Fame.

I noticed this also when I was looking at my franchise's all-time records. Gary Gratton should be in the single season RBI leader list (near the top), but wasn't anywhere to be found.

I think we may have a bigger issue. It's like our missing leader board year. Was it 1980 I believe?

Also I notice in SP there's more historical stats than we have. Is that normal?

My manager retired after last season, I then fired him 5 months later in March. Not sure why the game let me fire him.

                          That's all I got.
