Wow, second place. I hope we're as good as Clay thinks. It'd be nice to compete with the guys I got.

The Pilsner should be a dogfight all year long. There is no clear favorite.

Notice that I have you in 2nd place but not in the Wildcard hunt. I have the Pilsner (DL) and the Porter (IL) as the weakest divisions with the Pilsner actually a little bit worse than the Porter based simply on the fact that I think Philly is a Top 5 team, where Indy (the projected division winner) may be the worst of all the playoff teams.

I do, however, think Dallas is a team to watch if they can get and stay healthy. They just have so much young talent (that's what you get drafting high), they just need it to all click. the Pilsner could go a bunch of different ways.

If Dallas can ever get solid starting pitching... they'd be a terror.

I should point out too that it pained me greatly to pick all of those playoff teams in the IL....

Yeah... that was a little rude... I guess the story that I was trying to convey is that I think you're the 2nd best team in the division.... BUT... I think you need to (and can) win the division to make the playoffs.

I was just joking, I enjoy the bluntness. I think we would have an outside shot at the division but we got hit pretty hard by injuries this ST and because of GM panic screwed ourselves for Opening Day. Our starting CF Curt Halpern and our one all-league player, SS Noah George both went out during the first ST sim. In a panic, I wanted to make sure they didn't play while injured or too soon so I put them on the 15 day, I guess assuming that the game would start the 15 day clock the last time they played. Not so, so now even though they're healthy, they're out for the first week. SP Henry Deer, who would have been our #5, is out 2 more months, and top 50 prospect 1B Maureno Gonez is out 4-5 weeks from baby issues. We were really counting on him for some pop in our lineup this year. On top of all that 1B Mac Winson took a ratings hit. Soooo... if we can make it through the first few weeks close to .500, I think we could put together a run late in the season. But I could also see us coming out of the gate pretty rough and not being able to get back in it.

Well... good news/bad news.... the bad news is... you have a pretty rough first two weeks of the season in terms of schedule.... the good news is you don't play a divisional game till the 3rd Week. Those should be the big ones. Win those and it doesn't matter what you do the rest of the way.... well... it matters.... but the division games are huge.
