  • SIM COMPLETE - 1984 - ST 2

    Next sim: Thursday

Unfortunately Robby had to step down for personal reasons. He didn't go into details but it sounds like he'll be taking a break from text sims for awhile.

I added some players to the Los Lunas roster to get them up to 24 and hopefully we'll get a new owner in there before Thursday. If we are unable to, Opening day might be pushed back until Sunday.

        I voted no!

If he's got personal issues, I wish him well. Otherwise, we're 0-2 with returning owners.

Anyway we lose Tilbrook for half the season. This really hurts, but at least we can move Kirby to 1B and have a strong C rotation.

Wow, Olbera is out for the season. We had very little starting pitching going into the season, now we have none. Damn.

Injuries hit hard this preseason. I guess I'm lucky that Gorrie's 2 weeker happened 2 weeks ago.

Washington finishes the spring with a league best 19-5 record. We had one injury, #5 OF Tony Rajanna goes down for two weeks.

I hope Robby is well too

I've about had it with injuries

Carranza is hurt and then his ratings take a hit. That trade for Nakano and Carranza looks stupid as hell now. I must have the worst scouts/development people in the league.

I then get that compounded by my scouts telling me two of my pitchers in A ball took ratings hit- I'm still waiting for a scout to tell me that one of my players actually got better. This is, for lack of a better word, depressing :) I hope it will eventually get better.

...and the injury of the week...

Syracuse Slammers: M. Gonez was injured while trying to get his child out into the car seat. The Diagnosis: strained rib cage muscle. He's expected to miss about 6-7 weeks.
                    That's one heavy kid!

At the time of the trade, I really thought you got the far better end of the deal. But if both are getting hurt, taking ratings hits, and not playing....score one for me!

Only lost a MR for about a week.

Not a bad pre-season for California.

                            My squad is the anti-Playboys

If a player comes here, they get ratings hit in about 1-2 months without a doubt. No more than two players from my first two drafts have any shot of BLB careers. Both pitchers I took at the top of Round 2 last year took ratings hits at the same time last season. Just once I want to get a message saying, "He's impressed in side sessions" instead of "he's struggling in batting practice/in side sessions"

I lost another starting pitcher pressing Simone Bertetto into a spot in the rotation. Bertetto, a former Top 100 Prospect, could never shake the walks and will hopefully struggle through the 5 or 6 starts I need from him before Oyos returns.
