-- Im certainly not reading anything into Spring Training... but good God did Wilton Harcourt come to play this spring. He ended the spring at .423 with 7 HRs and 22 RBIs with a boatload of XBH's. Let's hope this is a sign.
-- In other news, "The Skull" pitched 4.0 scoreless in back to back starts to end the spring. Hopefully, that is a sign that he may find a rhythem. He's still throwing too many pitches and I'll be holding his pitch count way down.
-- Danny Nelson did not bounce back from his back-to-back injuries and had a miserable spring. Yikes. In a contract year though.
-- Jerry Dreyer, who was going to be the #4/5 guy in the rotation got bone chips in his elbow and will be down for the season.
-- Signed Tom Cirlos to be our utility guy. Feel much better going into the season with his glove than old man Reyes.
-- Speaking of old men, brought back Joe Sargentini to be our 5th OF, grab some pinch hit ABs and maybe do some DHing in inter-league.
-- Joshua Poling will head back to Detroit to play the season at AAA. Injuries could force him back into the bigs... but he needs another season in the D.
-- One of my favorite players that I've drafted, Vern Branch (3rd Round in '82) took a ratings boost and jumped into the Top 100. Branch, like top hitting prospect Yortiki Maeda, was a 16 year old in the infamous "Child Labor Draft of '82". Branch is 18 now and has taken a nice boost.
Colonials '84! Catch the Fever! Well... it's more like a rash! The Great One!

I've got a newfound respect for baseball GM's. This is very time-consuming. If I win some games, it will then be time-consuming AND satisfying.
